SKY Soccer Club and Ohio County Area Soccer Association announce partnership agreement expanding SKY Soccer Club soccer programs to Ohio County. With the support of the current Ohio County Area Soccer Association(OCASA) and Ohio County Parks and Recreation, Spring 2024 will kick off with “SKY Ohio County” Pre Academy (4U-6U) and Recreational (U8-U12) programs. The leaders at OCASA have made significant effort in seeking out the best path forward for the youth in their community through soccer, resulting in this partnership with SKY Soccer Club.

Registration will open January 21st and the season will begin mid-March with practices and games hosted at Ohio County Parks and Recreation.

SKY Soccer Club will provide enhancements to existing OCASA programs including age and developmentally appropriate curriculums, volunteer coach education via our Academy Director of Coaching, Referee training, as well as registration and communication platforms. The current OCASA leadership will be actively involved in all aspects of the programs that we plan to grow from the well-established 400+ players per year.

“This exciting collaboration with Ohio County Area Soccer Association aligns right up with SKY’s core values of developing great players and people, enhancing our community, and growing the beautiful game. Being able to help the OCASA community with additional resources, administrative support, and coaching talent for their programs encompasses everything that SKY is about. With this partnership. We look forward to what the future holds for both Clubs and how we can come together for continued success.”

Chase Embry – Board President - SKY Soccer Club

SKY Ohio County will immediately see the impacts of the SKY Pre Academy (U4U-6U) program, delivered in partnership with Mighty Kicks Southern Kentucky, a program that has grown from 260 to nearly 600 seasonal participants in Warren County in the last few years.

In the future, the 8U-12 Recreational program players will be offered new and exciting opportunities through game schedule integration, and special events with SKY programs in Buttler, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties to experience different levels of competition, and meet up with players throughout the area for fun play dates.

“As we embark on this partnership with the Southern Kentucky Soccer Club (SKY), we see an opportunity to broaden the scope of soccer within our county. This collaboration not only brings valuable resources but also taps into the wealth of experienced talent that SKY offers. Together, we look forward to expanding opportunities for players, enriching coaching capabilities, and collectively enhancing the soccer landscape in our community, all while maintaining our steadfast mission of providing a safe and positive learning environment for athletes to embrace the joy of learning soccer."
